Hi jeanette!

I like this drawing/painting a lot. Looks like pen and ink (?). Nice organic..curved lines with (what I feel is) a difficult medium.
I think I've maybe done ONE!!! pen and ink drawing in my life! I think you've done a very nice cover-page or headline image for your column.

btw, I also really like your quote!!!! I've never seen this one..but I can't agree more!!

I'm writing a 'column' for a local mag, I call the column "Sketchbook". Do you think this stands on it's own?

jnet, I really like the way the figures blend into one another. It gives the whole piece movement. The moon in the background with the bird/owl/hawk? lends mystery also especially with the one girl covering her eyes. You did a nice job on this piece. It is definitely one that would keep me looking for a long time.

thanks all http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif

Michael- this IS the column! I guess I could call it a 'panel' or a 'cartoon' ... but those don't really fit either ... Some other artists here in Kansas City are doing a similar thing ... this is my first attempt at it. It's Sharpie Marker, by the way ... althought I like to work with India Ink alot too ... you should stick with blue and red though! You rock with those http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif This had to be black and white for printing purposes. I only get two pages of color, so I save that for paintings.

Sass- hawk http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif thanks !

I hope you will post some of youe column for all of us. I think your "Sketchbook", loge is very good and gives a feeling of a sketchbook page, also has a good "Hook".

Well done.
