hi there...:), first of all, im sorry for being absent for sometime. just couldnt get connected...:).
here, im sharing my latest work (did about 3 days back), a portrait of a tiger, resting, at peace. did this in photoshp and painter - tablet. i did study few refs. of tigers and lions before doing this. hope u like it...:).
ive deliberately kept it soft...:).

I like it  You can picture him deep back in the shadows of lots of vegetation staying cool and hidden.

I love big cats, they are one of the most beautiful creatures on earth. While your talent is obvious with this one Waheed, my personal preference would be not so soft. The bright orange in the lower left corner wants to pull my eye there also.

thanks a lot ladyalba and sherry, for admiring it and for your inputs, i agree with your points...:). for the softness though, i wanted to have that particular feel, a matter of personal taste i guess...thanks again for coming in.

It is beautiful....as always :)

Absolutely gorgeous. the softness is a little distracting, though, maybe a little more focused around the face and then the softening as you retreat. just a thought.LIke you did for the whiskers and chin.

Amazing, Waheed! The softness is wonderful, but you can feel the strength of the cat there, dormant as you've indicated! Lovely colors!!

Excellent! I really like how you worked the green into the fur.

Beautiful work! I really like the softness but as others have said, the brightness of the orange is distracting. I also feel that eyes are a little too dead looking and need a highlight of sorts. Cats eyes like other animals tend to look luminous in the dark so it needen't be a bright highlight. I'm struggling here to explain what I mean so I've taken the liberty of putting it into PS to show you what I mean - hoping you won't mind too much?

thanks digistyle and bullyluvver...:). bullyluvver, thanks for the input, i surely know what u mean, i did paint the eyes, but they were actually not working for the desired result that i was after. but i do appreciate your input. and i dont mind at all...:). i might paint another one with a different expression and eyes...:).
