I saw a picture of a butterfly with see through wings...never saw one, but though it was awesome. Done in painter and used airbrush, some blender and oil brush.

I saw that one too, in fact have one right here in my pocket. And the BG is very good, but the veins like a structure, apart from anything, and I looked at the real one, and it's much more defuse. So, if you could show even some strokes of transparent clear brush in painter, that would help.

Lovely painting Aggie. I think Greg has a good suggetsion, the grainy blender would do it.

I like it, but I have to agree with Greg. Since your background is so diffused, the images showing through the panes of the wings should be more diffused.
