Fun & expressive pieces! Big landscapes in a small package...:D
I especially like the sky in "Northern Sky" but I am not sure what is happening in the foreground:confused: ...you might have to explain this to an east coaster...

Glad you all like them.

Binkie, they seem less than breathtaking to me but thank you for saying so! :D

I'm framing like crazy, Tammy. Not my favorite way to spend my one Saturday off in I can't tell ya how long... but it's always nice to finish things and ship them off to the gallery!

Thanks, Cindy.

Susan, your vote of confidence is a boost. Thanks. :)

Oops, cross posted with a couple...

Thanks, Tressa!

Anette, that is what all of New Mexico looks like at the moment--dead grass and dead trees till you get up to the higher ground where more of the pines are alive. We haven't had enough rain!!!! So, I try to focus on the sky. We'll see if anyone else likes the contrast of dead colors against the lively sky, as I found intriguing in this one. Glad you like the clouds...

Thanks for the show Deborah. They will look great all framed. And I agree - matting & framing are my least liked part of this "job"... Oh yes, I too wish there was a way to make the darks behave when photographing.

Oh these are wonderful. Each one leaves an impact on your senses.
They are little jewels.

I hope it all looks good framed, Peggy... It's always fun to see how they look in frames.

Thank you, leirrem. I appreciate you saying this!

There is: Over expose a few shots to get more detail in shadows..

Thanks for the show Deborah. They will look great all framed. And I agree - matting & framing are my least liked part of this "job"... Oh yes, I too wish there was a way to make the darks behave when photographing.

They are all beautiful. What type of frames do you put them in?

I was at Michaels on Friday and they had these gorgeous little gold, ornate frames on sale so I bought one (5"x5") and was thinking about doing a small little landscape for it.

Do you use the fancy kind of frames?

Deborah...these are all fantastic. Love the colors you have used.

Hello Deborah!
These are so alive! They have this wonderful sense of spontaneity...
Why is it that your paintings, especially "Meadow" and "Morning Glow" feel like Oil paintings?.....
But these are definitely "Feel Fresh,Feel Good" paintings...Loved them!

Looks great! Frame away;) Meadow is my favourite one:)

Hi all--thought I'd show this one I cropped to 8x10. I framed it a little differently.

I like this look for certain images. This one pleases me.

And below are the others, framed up so you can see. Oh--Meadow isn't done yet. The frame had a ding and I need to fix that!

What a beautiful "small" repetoire!

03-29-2006, 12:49 AM
Let me see now which one is my favorite:clap:  The skies are teriffic. I think I like the city lites, reminds me of evenings looking over Denver

03-29-2006, 10:37 AM
:) !!
At first, I thought the first top framed painting included the brown background as part of the frame! I was thinking for a second, ooh, what's this kind of framing??? But, your choices ring true, better than what I first saw.
All look great!

Thank you all so much! You're making my day. Hope the customers appreciate these paintings, too.

LOL @ Cindy...I set them on the floor and rather than sweep I put down a piece of brown paper. Hey, it's better than the pastel-covered cement in my studio! All of them are wonky, but I just shoot quicky pix for the record, so that I can see what I sent to the gallery.

03-29-2006, 08:41 PM
They are all beautiful...but I especially like the top one with the turquoise and purple clouds!

03-29-2006, 09:00 PM
Deborah, off topic, but did you paint these frames yourself, or did you buy them as is? Just curious.

They are all lovely and I will practice some like that myself. Thanks for sharing them. God is so good to give us talents we can share,

Dee...I really like all of them but the two that really stand out for me are "Night Vista" and "Travel Day"...beautiful work!

Deborah, I love them all. So much said in such little space.

My favorite is Northern Sky. That sky is so incredible, and the deadness in the foreground just catches your eyes and then lifts you back into the heavens.

I like them all, especially northern sky. Great work
