 Another try at portraiture. Open Canvas 3Plus, Wacom Intuos. No tracing or colour picking.

Event file available through Portalgraphics Community site (http://www.portalgraphics.net/oc/en/pages/image/frame.asp?image_id=53870)

I learned that on a sunny afternoon you'd better shut the curtains or jalousie, or the colour will come out wrong (you'll notice when watching the event file, that I started too pale and orangy).

Oh, and comments or critiques are welcome.

I am still very new to digital art, so anything i see is amazing to me. I do paint and from what I see of this piece I like it. Maybe a change in your background color to bring out the person and a complimentary for that purpose.

Excellent! What I would suggest are stronger contrasts and highlights. Nothing will give objects more dimension than emphasizing where surfaces recede from the light, and where they refect it...;)

Hmmmm! pretty good!  Needs a bit of contrast as skinny suggested, it would make it even better, but not too much.

Check the size of the eyes. They may be too small. For most people, the size of an eye is 1/5 of the width of the face.

The right eye is not level with the left.

The left ear look as if it is being pressed so it is sticking much closer to the face than the right one.
