I did this pen and ink in about 20 minutes, but it captures my backyard well. I made a few minor adjustments with the computer.
What do you think?

I feel a lot of movement in this one.Maybe wind ? http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
I like it's spontaneity, it's almost alive.

Hey Rose ,
Like gerak says, lots of movement and casual lines , great, god and loose.

Thanks so much for your encouraging feedback. I think the reason it has movement is because I made it in a rush, which was my aim. I used several different line movements to express volume in a fast loose way. Recording only what my eye loved. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi Rose - I also agree with Gerak's and billg's comments. Nice freedom and expression in your lines. Has an etched quality which I like.
Have you thought of combining mediums..say..pen and ink along with some shading and mass with graphite pencil or charcoal. I like this one as it is, but you could do a series of drawings..maybe of the same general area of your backyard, combining a few different drawing mediums. I think you'd have a nice series of drawings for a show. Hope to see more of your work!
