Hey, I actually was also just accepted by the painting program at Pratt. :) I'm a recent grad of Brown University. I've never seen Pratt, but I'm visiting this week to check it out.

I am familiar with Pratt overall but not with their painting program. Go to www.collegeconfidential.com and then to the discussion forums. At the top of the alphabetical listings, check out Pratt. At the top of the Pratt forum, you will see my post that deals with our "Overview of our visit to Pratt."

My feeling is that although Pratt has a good program for most things, their painting program is probably the weakest link there. You should consider schools known for their painting such as Yale, RISD, SAIC and MICA.

Hope this helps.
