Thought I would share with the forum a piece that I entered in a local juried competition. I knew this old guy when I was a kid growing up in South Dakota. He raised a family panning gold.

I guess I will never know what is the motivation behind the pieces that are chosen for a juried show. I thought "Prospector's Treasure" would be chosen for sure. I entered two pieces for the show and they ended up chosing the one I would not have picked. I attached the piece they chose. Oh well, at least I had something accepted.

I'm surprised both weren't accepted as they are both so well done and show your versatility. Congrats on getting into the show too!
