I did this in Studio Artist, Painter 9,5 and Photoshop. Comments welcome.

I like the power you portray well in this wave....:cat: My only suugestion would be to try bumping the intensity of the colors. What is Studio Artist?

Studio Artist is a painting program. There is a free demo that works well but only for 40 min at a time. Go to Studio Artist in google and you can get a demo download. It is fun to play with but I have no idea how it works. I was just experimenting. I may get the program just for the instructions.

There certainly is a lot of power in that wave Caryl. Did you paint this from scratch, or on top of a photo?

I painted on top of a photos. I have an entire website of waves listed below at the access4less site. We live south of San Francisco where they have hugh Maverick waves. I was shooting the day before the biggest ones so I was very lucky.

I am glad this is making such a splash!. I have just orederd the full Studio Artist program. It seems like fun. You can all download a free demo that really works. Just google Studio Artist 3.5 and you will find it.
