Oh my, I had to rub my eyes to make sure this was not the photograph. Absolutely astonishing work here. Wonderful detail to the wrinkled skin and those ancient eyes.

Hope to see more!

Wow...wonderful! I love the way you worked all those lively colors into the gray and the amazing details on the trunk.

Whoa! This is magnificent. Like Katheryn, I thought it was a photo at first. I'd also like to know how long this took you. I just bought the April 2006 edition of The Pastel Journal and it's about the best artists of the year. Your elephant would be a rival for any in the animal and wildlife category.

Hi,

The reality of this painting is as big as an elephant !
Work a notch on his right tooth to make it more 3d (in my opinion).

Marvelous reality on the elephant.

My only recommendation, with the fact that the elephant is so great, is that a darker, richer background would make him pop....

Great job.

Supper painting, agree with Johnnie a darker background would really lift the painting.

Wonderful colors and composition. The sky could use something maybe darker ?

wow, I am so amazed. What a fabulous elephant. I love the crop, and the wrinkles just blow me away. I can't imagine how you do it.
