This is my effort for the night. I think I went way too dark, but oh well live and learn. And of course feathers were a strange alien for me... wasn't really sure what to do with them. Great choice of photos Animal!! After viewing some of hte great results, I'm thinking I should have tried the frog, everyone's looks so good:)
Oh yeah, charcoal on newsprint.

I really like how you did the feathers......they look truly feathery!!
Maybe if you darken the background just a little more, the flamingo will come forward more. I think you did a great job here!

Erin, good job with the flamingo, I don't think it's bad at all, being dark is different, maybe even avarte-garde, no... it's just neat looking. hee-hee I like it!

Iwanted to do this one too, but ran out of time. Hadn't thought to try charcoal. It gives it a good look. Nice job on the lighting effect on the rear of the bird.

Thanks TJ, I think it was his graceful curves that attracted me to this one, but now the more I look at it the more I realize the way I did his eyes, he just looks mean and nasty LOL! Oh well, like I said before, live and learn. It was still a lot of fun :D
