Well, here's my drawing of the frog. I did it in watercolour pencil and then wished I hadn't added the water. Have to learn sometime, I guess.

Thanks all, it was fun. I think I'll try doing something with the macaws over the weekend. Gorgeous pics to choose from. I've enjoyed looking at the other pictures.

Very nice. I like the angularity of your frog.

hey, this is a really nice start...you added water, but that's a good thing. it really blended those colors together...you could easily come back into it to sharpen up those details...good work!

I think you frog came out great.
Love the expression on his face :)

Except for the fact that the scan was a tad faint, I actually liked the washed look and the overall rendering of this frog (perhaps I am biased - I did him too). Addphan is right, if you thought you lost too much detail, you could have dried the paper with a hair dryer and go back in with richer colors. But I like him as is.

Strawberry,
I really like how you did the frog. I also like the colours you used. What watercolour pencils did you use??:D

I thought I had commented on all the fnd........... ack! When did you sneak this in here? LOL!

Ya know every time I see this guy it makes me laugh........he just seems to be hanging on for dear life, and such an expression on his face............

You have captured both - the expression on his face and the grip!
This scan is on the light side, but your colors look good.

Looks good!

:D
