Hi All,
This is the best forum on the net. There's always an endless stream of great posts and interesting drawings. I've updated my own website with a Figure-Drawing Database section. Basically, I've started to compile a list of Open Drawing sessions that are advertised on the net. Hopefully, in time the list will grow and you can find a session in your area. In the meantime, Happy Drawing, and please visit my site.

Thanks.

Tony's 7-21 #2 especially.
Just got back again, from viewing many more. Carol Greene is awesome! Love her handling of colors and line, especially in the 20 minute poses.
I hardly ever come away from Life Drawing with more than one "drawing". My favorites are the short 5 minute warm ups... to the point that's how I treat the 40 minute poses. I have so much fun with my gesture lines, circular relationship lines, negative spaces, blind contours, as slow as an ant, as fast as a bull in a china shop, .... I can spend 6 hours using just 3 pieces of newsprint, going over and over, not caring what the page looks like, but just enjoying the journey of discovery. It isn't until the last 10 minutes of the day that someone will nudge me and remind me I still need to do a drawing! By that point in time, it's fairly easy! I've studied every contour, every hair, every color nuance for hours!
I use mostly vine charcoal, charcoal, and pastels.
Don't you love it when the model twitches... making us jump out of our chairs! I get so involved with a great poser, that I forget they're alive!
Thanks again, for the trip. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Wow. Thanks so much for your gracious reply. That was funny about the model's twitch. I've also known models to fall asleep too and they move unconsciously.

There's a really interesting session here in San Jose, called 'Shrinking Heads'. It's arranged by an animation group of San Jose State University.. I think the session is 3 hours of 1 minute poses. Quite amazing! I look forward to giving that a try someday.

Tony, I love your site. I could spend days there! I have never done life drawing, in fact, just now taking a drawing 1 class and following Michael's lessons here on wetcanvas. Your site and commentaries have certainly peaked my drawing interest even more. I can't wait until I reach a point where I can draw from life. Thanks for putting your site up for us to see.
