(I think I have posted TOO much for this week). But, with these last two posts, I wanted to emphasize something. Getting something "right" is not an important factor for me. If I want to get something right, I can, for the most part. Getting something down that "feels" right is MORE important to me. That quality of feeling right (for me) means the drawing works for me, that I have made a statement thatI would'nt change..that there is something more important in ALL the lines and marks than in forcing lines to conform to a preconcieved "ideal".
If anything, for all artists that are in the beginning stages of figure drawing...I can't emphasize enough...for you to take any pressure you are placing on yourself (to be a MASTER first time out)..OFF!.. If you relax, and just make it play or fun...you may make more progress than going at it like Leonardo or Michelangelo are going to thump your fingers if you don't make that "perfect" drawing. Make 'em interesting..express yourself.
