Well here's my attempt at the FND event.

This is my first time and sheesh....2 hours sure ZIPS bye !!

But I love the practice...

Wow! That was a different approach!I really enjoy this:) Kinda up-close and personal:D Great use of colour here..makes me want to see the whole flower:D

Painting is 10 x 11 inches and the image posted is 7. x 7.75 inches.

Coooool use of colors. This closeup guides me to think of a time I put my face right in an iris to smell it............all those iridescent colors up close and personal. This brings back the heady aroma of that experience.

Great idea, Kanuk, to enlarge an area and crop it like that. You've done really well... you know what? I think you might be an artist :D

I love it!!..love the colors!! course im from minnesota and purple is kinda a special color to us!...but really its beautiful!..great job!

For a first time out, you hit this one out of the park! I love the color in this, very peaceful... Feels like Georgia O'Keefe to me, where the flower takes you elsewhere due to her shapes and color... I'm gonna save this to my wallpaper and just sigh for a while...

It was definitely challenging but very enjoyable at the same time.
