I'm using PSPX artists oil brushs. Three layers so far.
This one will take me a while.

Janet, the fore ground is mostly brush and tree tops.

I didn't get back to this one today. Had a busy day and wanted to participate in this weekends WDE too.

I managed to get a bit more done on this. Truth be told I am finding it hard to concentrate on this painting and if I had not made the mistake of posting it as a WIP, I probably wouldn't finish it. I have at least another hr into it at this point.

By the way, I started this with the top half of the canvas blue and the bottom of it very dark because I knew the bottom was going to have lots of foliage in it. The dark background gives me a head start on the very darks I want showing through my foliage.

You are doing good. Don't get discouraged.

Sherry? I could fill a separate hard drive with all the paintings I start and never finish! In fact... I just bought a separate hard drive to archive my "never to be finished" paintings lol. You know why? Because I will finish them some day! I may be using a graphics software package that does not exist now, but it will ... when I am ready :wink2:

Looking good :)

Alrighty, here it is. I know its sloppy but I just couldn't get into it. I had to take it to painter to finish too because psp was working sooo slooow!

Nice job! I not only have unfinished digital images I have a pile of canvases that are unfinished too and also some soft sculpture projects gathering dust in the one of these days file as well. I think this just go with the territory! Some will be finished some eill never be!

01-25-2006, 05:46 AM
Yes I have those too! At least the unfinished digis are way easier to store. lol

Sherry, it looks very good.
Perhaps the addition of some color and tone variation in the greenery will enhance the image even more.

Great finish Sherry . These colours seem so different then what you usually use :)

Janet thanks for the suggestion but this one is done. As a painting it made a great photo, but not visa versa. I think I was just drawn to the picture because I have stood there in real life so many times. But it isn't the kind of painting that I am really fond of....lol...I discovered.

Thanks Jean. I think I would have been happier with this had I gone more to the abstract with it.

Nicely done! It's a fine cityscape with the lush greenery. I like the style of it.
