Used a photograph from RIL as a reference. Still practicing with faces....
:D . Done with soft charcoals of painter ix:)

A sketch before attempting to do it in colors....

Both subjects are good.
On the baby, his eye needs a little more definition - the eye sucket.

I love this Kareen! I don't really think it needs any refinement. I think it's simplicity is what makes it so appealing.

Thks Chiers and Janet for commenting! I'll do today a version with the eye sucket a bit more detailed, i guess you refer it needs some light shadowing.

Here goes a color version i'm starting using wet acrylics, i'm just painting big masses of color without shadows, hightlights and details. Perhaps i'll use a light grey blue for the background :) ....

It's very cool to watch an artist work! I like the sketch and the idea, and your beginning color work leaves anticipation for the finished work. Looking great!

Yeah, although I like the vibrant colors, the softer one is a better choice for this subject.

Your initial sketch was/is drop dead gorgeous! I liked that one best!
