The parrot is lovely and the color combinations are great. You did good with ArtRage.

Thank you Barry and Janet.......I played around with it some more and found that the pencil works great for detail (had to redo the eye after playing with background and highlights on feathers) It does take a very light touch but you can get some control. :cat:

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this.....Thank you Barry, Waheed, Kirk and Jean.
It's not a Waheed parrot, ..
nor it's a parrot anyway, ...
it's a new variety called ...
Lady Albinus Artisticus....:D....
Being more serious i like more your first version, i'm not sure the dark background of the second works.
Lovely, it need not be a 'waheed' parrot because its a very nice lady alba parrot! :)

I like your secnd version of the parrot. But the dark background is taking away from her.

Thank you everyone and had a play with it in painter rather than lightening the bg I worked on the color of the bird and brightened it. Used impressionist brushes on the bird (I love that brush LOL) and then used the smudge on some areas.

WOW Marge! I admire your courage playing with artrage and you did well. But WOW WOW on your parrot done with painter. You, Jean and Aggie have done so well and have come so far using painter. I will (?) get brave some day and try to learn it. I never saw Waheeds parrot, but knowing his talent, I would never attempt to compare any of my paintings with his lol. He just is blessed with talent I will never achieve.
Well done G/F
