MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I want this painting to have to feel of a cold day. Does it have that?

This is a big impact painting... red! complementary greens... very striking. But I dont get 'cold' from it. With all that lush greenery it seems like the height of summer. (haha summer in Ohio... maybe that is cold in Georgia)

I don't get 'cold' from it either though I like it. maybe if you introduced some gray into the sky it might help. Feels like a sunny sky to me.

I took the liberty of making a few crude changes....

it's cool, definitely cool rather than freezing cold. I don't read it as a warm summer day. if cool will do then yes it did work :)

Sorry don't get a cold day from it either. But maybe the chop of the water says a day not to be in it.
But, it's nice work.

Looks like the BG is too saturated for the effect you are going for.

It seems cool to me, even the red is a cold red. The only warmth I see in it is the spit of ground across the water with the yellow highlights, and even that yellow is on the cool side I think... It is a 'kool' picture besides. A very original idea presented nicely.

I love the - my minds gone blank - big red life-saving thingy, very nicely painted. Don Granros' modifications are good, you could try and make the background a bit lighter and greyer aswell which would cool it down a bit.

I don't sense cold but its not hot either...cold to me would be less greenery and more moisture ..Im looking at cold and moisture right now out my window.
But love it as is , maybe gray that treeline a bit. TerryC
