Before the Eagle, Globe & Anchor (which was established in 1868) the United States Marine Corps used this insignia during the War Between the States (1861-1865).

Larry inspired me to try one of these Incidentals myself... I thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to do more.

Hiya, Bernie! What an interesting subject. What size is the actual object? It has good color and interesting shapes to work with. These little still lifes are indeed good studies for development of so many skills. I'm glad you're taking the plunge and look forward to seeing more of them from you.

Thanks Jamie. It's about an inch and a half wide by an inch tall.
