Third painting of the series. The girl is sitting regretful, miss her home, her parents, her siblings and her friends. Composition is composed by myself. While I layed the basic layer of background, my mother liked it in the loose style so she asked me to stop and not to blend and add details as it represents the distruction very well. Done in 2 hours with mouse (missing my tablet.:( )

She liked unblended version of this painting so I preserved it also.

This version is done in 30 minutes.

I've commented on this in the portraiture forum, as you know Maria. I just think it's wonderful, thanks for all these images. How about all the images of this disaster being put in the library thread?

Maria, this one is great. I wouldn't change a thing. Your mother is right. The looseness on the background tells the story and support very well it's foreground-the girl. I love this one, it is very emotive.

You've got your painting skills down! She looks as though she has lost her best friend. Nice use of color and the OOF BG too. You are so good!

Thanks guys a lot. It is soothing to do the portraits of earthquake survivors.
