Like this as a picture Jean, though I think the hair has more impasto on it than the rest of the pic, making it look artificial?
Love her pose.

EXCELLENT, Jean! The best part is the subtle pink in the shirt where her fanny would be. What is the "art pen brush"?

The ArtPen Brushes is a category of brushes. Are brushes that were added in Painter IX especially designed for the new Wacom 6D Art Pen.

This pen was designed with six dimensions of pen control including 360 degrees of barrel rotation, and 1,024 levels of pressure-sensitivity.
For more information on this pen: (http://www.wacom.com/art_pen/index.cfm)

I have this pen and using it feels totally different than using the regular pen (stylus).

Jean, I agree about her hair. Looks too thick compared with the rest of the painting. I love that pose, and the water, and the area of the fanny, etc, etc.LOL

I love this...just looks like the sun is glistening on her hair...great job

So this is a new pen to go with the new tablet?

It is a fairly new pen for the tablets. But it's optional, of course. It is not included with the wacoms. The pen works with all Intuos 3 and some other models. Check out the specs.

Very nice Jean. Terrific job on her shirt. I do agree with the others about the hair though.

This is the 6D ArtPen - this pen has a flat tip:

These are the 6D ArtPen Nibs:

Don't confuse this pen with the Grip Pen.
They are for use on Intuos3 and Cintiq 21UX tablets only and will not work on Intuos or Intuos2 tablets.

Janet I have them installed on my comp and they work without the actual art pen, maybe not the way they should but they do work :)

I like this Jean, the pose and feeling. Agree on the hair, and would like a hint of leg in the water, but othwise, very nice.

The brushes are always intalled with the software and anybody can use them but if you don't have the 6D pen you are missing many other features you can tweak for those special brushes. It's like without this 6D pen, the brushes will act like any other artist's oil.
