Hey good start on that pepper. I like the light reflection you've got on the top. Glad to see you posting.

Boy! Thats one great pepper. The color and blending is perfect. Needs just a little more shadow to put it on the table.

I think it is very good for your second try. It looks very waxy and shiny just as a pepper should. :D Wanda

Great job!! Go slow on the shadow - it is very easy to overdo shadows when you have a plain white background. :)

Ha, Nicole! I was just about to urge them to not be afraid to use the darks. I would really push the darks on the pepper and like Nicole says, go easy on the shadow on the white. And remember white is reflective, so add some of your nice pepper reds into the shadow too.

Nicely done. You have captured the shiny surface perfectly. I agree with Maggie and Nicole about the darks and shadows. The shadow can be pretty strong where it touches the table but it softens and lightens as it moves away from the pepper.

I don't mean to sound like a bragart but I think this is one of the best pieces of art work I have done. I wish you guys could see this in real life cuse the scanner washes out the values a bit. I did punch up the drks a bit with some dark green I will post an update after I get the shadow put down

Jason, this is wonderful.... Red is my favorite color
and you have certainly done it justice ... your highlights
are great... Now ... you just need to do a green and an
orange or yellow pepper like this one, and you have a
great grouping for a kitchen wall!

Hi Jason~
Hey this is really nice!! You got the reds and highlights looking spot on.
And WOW for your second cp... well, I have done about a dozen of them and I probably couldn't do a pepper like that!
Good job! Keep up the good work and keep sharing!
