THIS IS GREAT WORK. THE COLORS ARE NICE AND VIBRANT. WHAT COULD APPROVE IT? MAYBE SOME DARKER SHADOWS AROUND THE HOUSES TO DEFINE THEM MORE, AND MAYBE ON THE ROCKS. I WOULDN'T OVER DO IT THOUGH.

Nice one, I would only lighten the follage on top of the cliff of the most distant cliff to push it back and break up the diagonal line on the bottom edge of the rocks behind the last shack.

I really like this painting.... you should have matted it and framed it 2 years ago. I have no suggestion's.... I like it the way it is.
Very nice indeed.:)

par72sb I think that you have received some great sugestions and there is little to add. I wonder, as I have never seen that much yellow in any picture from the rock. Was it a sunset?

Squint and take a look at the painting. Everything has a wash of light across it except the area thru the center of the docks and below the house. If the light if falling on the logs, they would be highlighted too and the shadows would be behind them. I'd suggest you break up that area with some highlights. I don't know if you could lift out some of the paint on the logs but the grassy area needs to be lighter where the sun is hitting it.

All in all, a really nice painting. Detailed subject with a lot of drawing! but you handled all that really well!

A good composition and lots of detail.

You have received some good advice which I am taking note of too. :D

I suppose all the suggestions could be incorporated - but I think it is a damn fine painting as is.
