Not sure a magazine like that exsists. But if it does, people here will know the answer. If you find one, post it here, Id like to hear about it.

Try this magazine, Computer Arts http://www.computerarts.co.uk/. The print edition comes with a disc containing the files from any tutorials in the magazine, graphics program trial software and freeware from major software publishers. I got my copy of Painter 5.5, full product, free from this magazine.

Photoshop User, http://www.photoshopuser.com/, focuses specifically on Photoshop.

Computer Graphics World (CGW), http://cgw.pennnet.com/ is similar to Computer Arts as it covers a broad sprectrum of graphics software but CGW includes more hardware reviews.

Hope this helps.

Photoshop User is one of the best magazines about photoshop.

Adobe plublishes a mazazine about Illustrator. You can access the archive here: http://www.adobe.com/products/adobemag/archive/qaillu.html

Karen Sperling offers tutorials about Painter: http://www.artistrymag.com/
Other excellent sources about Painter are:
The Painter IX WoW! Book by Cher Threinen-Pendarvis and
Painter IX Creativity by Jeremy Sutton. Both of these books has lots of information and demonstrations. They are great.

For 3dx Max, I don't know. But a good start would be to check in the Companie's website. Usually they post there all available learning resources. I know there are some magazines about 3d software because I have seent them at Borders. You might want to check there too. Also through Amazon.com

There are some basic tutorials on the Painter IX Website accessible by going to the Painter IX Help menu and clicking Tutorials, or go to the same page using this link:

Corel Painter IX Tips and Tutorials (http://www.corel.com/painterix/training/tutorials.html)

Also read the very nice Corel Painter newsletter, "The Painter Canvas". In each issue there are tips and tutorials. On the page linked below, you can subscribe and receive the newsletter via e-mail each month. Click the "Sign up" link near the bottom of the page:

The Painter Canvas, October 2004 through October 2005 Issues (http://www.corel.com/painterix/community/newsletter.html)

Since the November 2005 and December 2005 issues are not included on that page yet, here are the links:

The Painter Canvas, November 2005 Issue (http://www.corel.com/painterix/community/newsletter/2005-11/index.html)

The Painter Canvas, December 2005 Issue (http://www.corel.com/painterix/community/newsletter/2005-12/index.html)

Also visit my PixelAlley site for a lot of free tutorials for Painter 5/5.5, Painter 6, Painter 7, information for Painter 7, and custom brush variants that can be used with Painter 7, Painter 8, and Painter IX. The older version tutorials can pretty easily be translated for use in Painter IX:
