I live in the Kansas City area, and we were without power from Tues. night until Saturday night. :( I'm finally back on line. :) (WetCanvas withdrawal !!!) I decided to do the drawing event this afternoon. This was drawn with sketch pens. Love castles and had fun drawing this one. Took me about 1-1/2 hours.

oooh! purdy (I love castles too) Lovely sketch Surfina
The pinkish color is probably from your scanner, but it adds kind of an interesting cast to it that I would like to be able to copy on paper.
Anyone know how I might be able to achieve doing that? Maybe watercolors?

Thanks, Wingnut.
Oh, my, it did come out pink. How'd that happen???
I have a digital camera, and the pic before uploading was white as snow.
I expect you could easily tint with watercolor, like you say.

I love the play of darks and lights on the castle. It really makes the towers look round and stand out.
Excellent work on white OR pink!

Thanks Yielding and Diana.
It's been hard for me to work up to really dark darks, but I'm getting bolder all the time.

Hi Surfina, I really like the way you've come up with this look. I I think this looks like something right out of Disney!:p Really nice, I love it! Actually, the pink makes it look kind'a neat to me, not that I like pink.:p You should be proud!

Randy and Deb - thanks for your kind comments.
Deb - I sure wish I could draw as well as you do (reference your dog drawing).

Whoa Whoa Whoa! That is too cool, I love that!
It's got just the right amount of linework on it, I admire that because I usually go overboard with a pen and ruin everything.
