This was done from a photograph in the WC library....I'd like to credit the photographer, but I forgot to write it down! :(

Reakky nice work on the ship Skinny. My only suggestion is make the ship appear more like it's floating in the water, not on top of it. Some reflections and shadow and some waves like a wake around the bow would do it.

nice work

Nice work Kirsten , I agree with Chuck and think that would finish it off :)

You have a nice scene going here but I agree with the others I took the water line of your boat and did some impressionist brush work about 3 min worth and used the just add water blender to set the boat down then brought the water up on the sides some to break the straight line.
So you can see the difference ;o)

Great boat! You are really getting good at those straight clean lines.
I agree with Chuck about putting the boat in the water versus on the water. Marge gave you a great illustration of that too.

You have the proportions and POV down just right. Great image!

Thanks, Marge! You're VERY good with water. It helps to SEE what is being suggested.

Sherry, those straight clean lines are grace of Painter's marvelous vector tools.

Kirk, thanks for your enthusiasm!

It 's coming out great but i would keep working a bit more the water. :) The boat is very neat, clean looking how did you achieve that?

Kirsten, the boat is fantastic, I just love the shadowing in the sails. If you alter the water it will be a vg painting. Also perhaps (looking again) the land could be tapered off, suggesting sailing away from the coast?

Thanks, Jon! Kareen, one of the beautiful things about Painter is the ability to convert curved vector lines into pixels without having to close the path.
