Hi!

I have been looking for a pastel stick in a warm, rich, burgundy color. So far all the color charts sticks I have looked at on the net have too much "pinkish" color (yes, I know my screen color could be off). Can someone recommend a brand that has that warm, full-bodied, deep color?

Thanks,
binkie

Send a note to Terry Ludwig describing the color as you want it...I'll bet he makes it and can send it to you...He has some really lovely deep, rich colors and I seem to remember a color like you've described.

Binkie,

I just opened a full set of Mount Visions and there are some beautiful colors in it as you describe. I'll go get the number for you.

Hi Binkie, Sorry it took so long...fell asleep on the couch.

Here they are. They look lighter in the photos. I had a bright light shining on them along with the camera flash.

The first is #300. It is more on the pink side, but is very dark and rich.
Then there is #320, 370 and 371. They are on the brown side of burgundy. They are all very rich and deep colored. I know they look orange, but they are really deep rich colors.

Binkie - take a look at the following 'burgundy' hue'd sticks:

Sennelier -#790,791,792 - chinese vermilion - real dark, rich color made from Pyrrol red and Thalo blue, both very rich pigments.

Schmincke - 043 B,D, & H. - Bordeaux

Terry Ludwig -EM 9 made from warm red and Ultra blue.

Hope this helps - I went through my actual sticks, not colored charts.

Art Spectrum has a burgundy that is very dark and wonderful. Once I saw that color, I grabbed it... It's called bordeaux...
