This was so fun! I had a couple hours this morning for painting - didn't want to work on one of my big studio painting, so I decided to try a PAD :)

I used one of my dad's old Muskie lures, set it up on a board, and went to work. It took just a little over an hour to finish.

"Muskie Lure #1" oil/canvas 6"x8"

Well, it lured me in Nancy. I couldn't tell what it was from the thumbnail, so I clicked and fell for it, hook, line and sinker. :D Looks like you're hooked on this fourm too. :D

hey...now, that wasn't so hard was it?

That's what's fun and cool about these...it really doesn't ask much but to keep an eye out for everyday and often insignificant things. They at once are good exercises and yet have a particular charm to them. Nice job here Nancy...I think you'll soon be hooked!

hahhaaa...sorry, had to pull a line on ya here! Blame it on Jimmy...he's a bad influence. :)

It is a tease to a musky nut like my self, especially to see that I didnt really fish them at all this past summer and fall but... Love the color and brushwork in this!!!!

Great subject! It is fun to do these sketches and finding little things around the house or out in the yard to paint is like a treasure hunt.

Nice painting. The background turned out great. Dunno what fish see in these, though... ugly lure :)

I love your little lure. Aren't the PADs just the perfect solution when you're not up to diving into something big?

Thanks Ben, Christina, and Brian. Yes, these ARE ugly lures...and I have a whole tackle box full of them ;)

Jamie - You've succumbed to Jim and Larry :D Yes, these little PADs are great when I don't have the time to dive in to a bigger canvas...
