I've been reminded here lately, that I don't do much manipulating lately. So when I sat down to paint this evening, (digitally) and wasn't particularly happy (with watercolors in painter) I decided to go to photoshop and manipulate. there are many, many layers of painting in low opacity, flattening, duplicated layers run thru filters etc. etc. I really enjoy the process.
A good strong critique is welcome on this one.

I would have the closest petals and leaves more in focus than the rest just to add dimension to it. (depth of field).

Thanks, Janet, that's exactly what I'm looking for! Sometimes you just have to look at it days later, and with some input from another artist, you can improve a piece! Thank you!:clap: :clap:

The texture is nice, has a good feel to it. I think the foreground petal is highlighted too much (white space) could use more color there. I like it.
