We had an unexpected addition to the family on Sunday. Our old dog, Kington (a staffordshire bull terrier) died about a year ago
The replacement hasn't yet been named although I have a fancy for "Buggerlugs"
However I think i will be overruled on that one. Here she is in all her glory

Arnold, she's gorgeous!! sorry :D I had to giggle! 'Buggerlugs' is such a hilarious name! 'Bugger' for short ... I can just imagine you shouting that across the park! Haha!! Mental picture of puppy dashing across muddy field and Arnold stamping after her calling "Come here Bugger! Oi! Bugger!"
I think you might be right about being over-ruled - it'd be funny tho!
You could call her Mafenwwy ... or Blodwen!

Arnold, what a cutie!
As for the name, according to Andy and Kev, the most common name for a dog in Yorkshire is "yabugger". So I'd say you should stand your ground. :p

Arnold: What a cute doggie!! I'm sorry about your beloved pet that passed away. Dogs are too fun. I think "Buggerlugs" is adorable. Does that mean something coarse in the UK?

OMG, she's a tiny baby! And you want to saddle her with such a name! Don't you know that you will scar her for life? Make her have self respect issues?! Arnold, no! she needs a nice friendly name like "Emma".

Congrats, Arnold.
Cute.
I had friends who named their dog Dammit, so they often be heard shouting, "Dammit, you get back here.", or "Sit, Dammit."

Hi Arnold,
What a cute 'Bugger luggie' (a girl's name for Buggerlug).
and backwards that would be:
Eiggul Reggub - sounds like the name for a new painting!!! ;) :) :) :) :)

You are nearly into Dylan Thomas there, Celeste
He called the village in "Under milk Wood" Llareggub
Judy, i will of course let everyone know the final name - still not decided

Arnold, she's a keeper!!
I quite fancy the name Buggerlugs. :) In this house it would get shortened to "Bugs" -- probably the first day. :)
Give her lots of puppy kisses from me, and enjoy the puppy breath while it lasts.

What a cutie! Holly is good. I've had dogs named Charlie, Suzie, Ugly (yes, he was but we loved him), Murphy, and now have Toto and Peaches. My favorite name was Snickers - she was a cat. I'm not very good with pet names.

"Buggerlugs"
well, we have some pretty unique names, but that possibly takes the cake. My daughters HUGE gender confused cat, Cookie, is nicknamed 'Wookerbutts' I have no idea why.... but the pup is a real cutie- hide the shoes....hide the books- hide the brushes....
