I just finished this. Its a book cover for Ayn Rand's Anthem. Let me know what you think. I have to present it in class on wed. I want it to be as perfect as possible!! Thanks all!

Like the composition and colors very dramatic. There's only one thing that bothers me, it's the skin rough aspect, i would soften it slightly. The light in the hand is great perhaps i would add a bit more light to the arm darkening it gradually towards the head. (Well, just a subjective opinion)

I like it, have not read that one but to me it has the darkness of a book by Ayn Rand

WONDERFUL! I wouldn't change it....too perfect for an Ayn Rand book.

I am not familiar with the author, but if you wanted a dramatic effect, you've succeeded! Nice work!

thanks everyone! I got an awesome critique in class as well. I had a photo taken of a friend....took that into photoshop. On a different layer (below the photo) i started with a dark brown bg. And started painting (blindly) using a tablet and selecting the color from the actual photo...every so often i would hide the photo to look at the painting....this is how it turned out. After i finished, I erased the actual photo...so none of it is the original...it is all hand drawn. Im very happy with how it turned out...especially since i barely looked at what I waas drawing!
