The holidays are so busy for me that I haven't had a chance to sit for any real length of time to do any art. I've been working on this for several days. Of course, since I couldn't get him to come pose for me, I had a photo reference. (Darn it :p )

Thanks everyone!

Kareen, when I started the painting, I had intended to do a wip, and actually saved a few steps, but then I forgot about saving the steps and only ended up with a few steps to work with. (does that make sense?) I will do another painting and *try* to remember to save the steps! I just get too involved in what I'm doing and forget.

The original size found online. My original was twice the size and then scaled to meet the requirements for posting here.I found the center of both images opened side by side and sketched the outline and then started painting. I have 8 different saved steps that I will upload to my website today (hopefully) or tomorrow.

Thanks for all the nice comments!!

Ok, here's what I saved. I thought I had saved 8 steps, but I hadn't. I must have been thinking of another painting that I started. Anyway, it's not grand, but it shows a little bit how I work. I will do another painting soon with a WIP if anyone is interested. :)
