View Full Version : Galapagos Tortoise ACEO WIP

Hi All it has been a long time since I posted over here in this forum. I have been working a little larger then the foum allows. 5 x 5 and 4 x 5 but I decided to do a ACEO on a WDE (weekend drawing event) from this weekend. So this is 2.5 x 3.5 of a tortoise, acrylic on masonite (hardboard). Hope you all enjoy.

Oh Sam, your Tortoise has stolen my heart. I had a pet turtle for 17 years until just recently, when he died. You have got his features just perfect, and the surrounds are gorgeous too and I like the feeling of cloudiness in the surroundings, and the Tortoise head so clear. Lovely work. :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap:

Ok here is another quick update. I need to leave for a meeting so i will work on this more when I get back after the meeting tonight.

There's a lot of personality in that turtleface!!! :clap: Like your son's drawing too! I used to have turtles as pets when I was a kid, so can appreciate the subject! :clap:

I had a problem with the clear coat. I have used this spray for a long time and have never had any problems something caused it to pull up paint and I am very frustrated by it. My family says I am seeing things but I know what it looked like before and now he is more speckled because of paint being pulled up very frustrating to me. Well too much work to fix.
