This is a 12"x12" acrylic on canvas post mortem portrait of Nikko. I thought the photo was interresting due to the lines of the greyblue deck on which he was standing. Of course the photo was the best of the few the owner had because it was taken outside.

Love it Frank! You are right those blues with the cats eyes really make it. You captured him well.

Oh, he looks like my Nicholas! I lost Nick quite a few years ago.
This is just great, Frank, and really stirs up memories for me.

Thank you Dee Dee, Lisa, Chris, Piper, Kate, Mel, Judy, Anita, and Gail.
My customer picked up the portrait today and she is thrilled with it. I always find it nerveracking showing a finished work to a client but response has been wonderfull every time. I love doing this!

This is really striking -- I don't normally like poses where the animal or person is looking dead into the camera but this one is so natural with the cat looking right up at you like in real life, that it doesn't feel posed or unnatural at all.

Beautiful job. If the owner doesn't want it, I'll take it. :D
