I like it!!! Great ink work on this aaasp!! The way you have ommited the rest of the head on this piece really adds to the portrait. There is a dramatic look to him. Good shading and form.

I know Sam Becketts face is craggy, and you did a good job portraying this. I also like the composition of a partial portrait. As ArtDude said it is dramatic and gives a strong presence to the piece as a whole. Since the light is very strong on the left hand side of the face I feel that the shadow at the mouth is a bit too strong. The one coming down from the cheek is just right, and then you went very dark at the mouth. It just throws me off looking at it that way.

Everybody is right, this is great!!

I find it interesting that drawings that aren't "complete" can be so convincing and sometimes more exciting than fully completed ones.

(I keep telling myself this, so I don't mind when I don't finish a picture!!!:D )
