This was done with tech pens from a photo I took at a local farm residence. The hedge was done using the scribble technique and the rest with various lines. I think it needs a bit more work as far as the proper shading goes.

My only comment to improve this would be vary the values on the hedge, it is almost the same of the barrel.

Nice work and a nice composition. I agree that the hedge needs a little variation - maybe darken it in spots at the back of the leaves and tub ? But I like :)

Thanks for commenting Norah. Darkening the hedge seems to be the way to go on this one.

The hedge does look good, but I especially love the detail you put into the sign and planter. That shows a great deal of concertration. One little problem I see is the shadows. When I look at this and the shadow from the sign I expect to see just a little shadow along the same lines from the plant. I can see just a little bit, but it appears to be from a different light source than the shadow appearing from the sign. Just something to keep your eye on when doing a piece with strong shadows.
