cool I like this and I like the fact you found it - gave the poor old thing a new life.

I found the painting reminiscent of Cezanne (I think).....and it told a story.....but I did find the background fighting the subject. I would have liked to see the background more subdued....the series of streaks were distracting and I couldn't see how they added anything to the story/emotion

I agree with you 100% on the background .. it was when I first started painting and I was jumping all over the place .. liked the Van Gogh strokes and decided to add a few of mine .. Yuk .. at the time I liked it and so did some Big Wig from Dallas who bought in on sight .. to do over at this time in my life the sky would be thunder storm purples with a slight hint of a sun ray finding it's way to the chair or as you said, almost non existant.

Thanks for the comment as it lends me to know I am growing as an artist.
