Just looking through the new SAA catalogue and I notice they now stock YUPO paper. I know quite a few people like to use it for watercolour and acrylics but what bothers me is if you can rub or scrape it off how permanent is any painting you create with it?

Well it is a plastic paper. I have lifted watercolour with fingerprints and have gouged off bits of acrylic. I think if it is well cared for and framed under glass then it should survive for quite a while.

You can protect your yupo painting with a clear acrylic spray. I use Krylon. Spray lightly once, let dry and spray again. The paint will not run or rub off.
