For all you fans of Art Spectrum paper (I really am devoted to it) Hobby Lobby is having a sale of 50% off all acid free paper. The paper which normally sells for 5.99 is now $3. YES!!!! I just came home with an armload of it.

*growl*

Not only does Hobby Lobby not have pastel papers on their web site, but they only have stores located in the mid-part of the US.

Not fair!

I've just sent them email asking why they don't have surfaces on their site.

*I* want Art Spectrum for $3 too!

Roan - perhaps I could ship some to you? Or have Hobby Lobby here ship to you??? Would you like me to give them a jingle and see if they will ship?

Thank you for your offer, Bobbie. That's very nice of you http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

I emailed them last night to see if they are going to add pastel surfaces to their web site. All they have are a few very low end pastel sets -- mostly oils, for that matter -- and no papers at all. What I'd really like is to have their web site and sales et al listed on my web site.

I think I'll wait and see what they come back with in their reply, but thank you very much for your offer!

I am so glad you shared that info, Bobbie!

For the first time since my husband has been travelling this year, I feel lucky about it! He's in Chandler AZ for three weeks and he's going to drive to the Hobby Lobby in Glendale and get some paper for me. What a sweet guy! Nobody in my area carries any Art Spectrum materials, so I'm really looking forward to trying out that paper!

Judith, I live in Ashland and I agree, there is very little diversity in art supplies here. Have you personally gone to Dakota art, they are closer to you than me, in Mt. Vernon Washington. I am wondering if they have a store you can go to. They have all the papers and pastels.
