early in morning at local car show this past summer regards Dan pastel on sanded paper (recycled) from life

Dan, I hope you don't mind, but I cropped your painting. It had 300 pixels of white space all around it and was 770+ wide -- which caused it to scroll off my screen. Please try to keep images to a max of 500 pixels in width or height. Thanks! -- Roan

Oooooooooo nice roadster, Dan!

What year? Looks like a mid 30s model Ford?

More info, please! Is it all original?

thanks Roan this is my first attempt with a scanner of my own so will try to do better,
I don't know much about the car(probably a 36 ford) I love the shapes and reflections, I go to events like these all the time to paint but the crowds take over and I lose my vantage point I usually have to paint the backs of the cars at car shows, the owners want to commission pastels but my style is loose and my prices are high. I tell them that I will make a painting with their car in it but I won't make a painting of their car.

Dan,

Most scanners will allow you to "block" or "mask" the area you want scanned. Next time you scan something, see if you can find that tool and just mark the area of your painting or photo.

It's a lovely painting, I really like it. If I were going to buy something like this, however, I would want to know what it is in case a visitor to my house asked. Now, that's just me :P
