This is an excellent still live with the finest looking bananas I have ever seen -- the colours of this study are near perfect, Great!

One question -- why do some of the bananas have soft edges (e.g. the banana on the far right). Note: this is not a criticism but just a question.

Enjoyed the viewing, Thank-You,

It has appeal :)

I like it a bunch :D

Seriously, it is a nice exploration of negative spaces. It does bring up an interesting question.... why are the apples, pears, etc somehow a more acceptable still life fruit than bananas? Rarely do you see a banana in a still life.

This is wonderful! Bananas look fantastic.

JeffG, probably because monkeys love bananas and people do not want to have the same thing in common with the monkeys?:D

JUST KIDDING!

Jeff you're funny...About Bananas, well it's what you think

Some people really like them and are afraid of the comments they will induce from the viewer. I did two pretty good banana paintings that, between them, "hung", no pun intended, in some important galleries and museums w/o a single nibble, no pun intended.

I wanted to really cut loose. I painted soft glowing edges extremely soft so that the tight "hard edges" would be more so. Light glows when it's strong.

.. like the old z placement of a landscape in a still life .. color matching is perfect as usual ..

are you a full time artist? ie. don't have to work for a living, just paint.

Yea sure...nothing but the sweet taste of bananas was going through your brain (which brain I'm not sure  ) when you made that comment.
