This weekend I traveled to NYC to see the Pastel Society of America's 33rd Annual Exhibit -- Just for Pastels. It was wonderful! I had to opportunity to see many of the works that pastelists have submitted to The Pastel Journal and online galleries. It was thrilling to see so many wonderful pieces in a variety of styles. I even came across one painting that I recently saw online (just a thumbnail image) that captivated me -- seeing it in person was a thrill !!

The exhibit displays works by many noted pastelists including Daniel Green & M. Kathryn Hurley (just off the top of my head).

The exhibit is at 15 Gramercy Park E. (20th St.) in Manhatten. The show runs through early October. If you are in NYC, it is worth the trip!

I had planned to go down specifically for the show, and it was well worth it.

Wow, I'll have to check the dates and times. I just might have to try to find a way to make time to see this. It sure would be cool, and the Grammercy Park area is lovely in and of itself.
