Could someone give me directions for posting a picture. Is it better to use a digital camera or a scanner? I know a little about computers, but the technical stuff eludes me.

For a pastel, you'd be best off using a digital photo unless you want to clean dust off your scanner. Not good for the scanner and not good for the painting, imho :P

Make sure your image is in JPEG format, with the extension .jpg and no bigger than 500 pixels wide or 500 pixels tall.

To upload, go to the Art Critiques page:
http://www.wetcanvas.com/Critiques/index.html

and scroll down until you find the push button that says "Upload Image". Use the browse button to find your image on your computer, then push "Upload Image". Once it's uploaded, you'll get a page that says the upload worked and it list the URL on it. Highlight the URL and make SURE YOU COPY THE [ IMG ][ /IMG ] TAGS AS WELL.

-- Don't mean to shout, but that's what people leave out the most. Just wanna make sure it catches your eye :P --

Now, go to the pastels forum, open a new topic and paste your image link in there.

That's all there is to it.

Post if you have any questions.
