Hi
I like to work on a few paintings at a time...so while i am re-working an oldie :D ..I also decided to paint our swamp view :D I wasn't actually outside...just set up at the door wall....so it was from life...but not plein air I guess...come to think of it.

We have had a glorious (but a bit warm for me) summer....the pond behind our house is full of lily pads and other natural debris....

this is where I am after today....will finish up tomorrow....not too exciting..but a good exercize...

This looks just like a watercolor! Mine tend to look like I am using another medium. I would love to learn to use watercolor to its full effect, like this. Very nice!

It's a pretty view, Lauren... thinking I'd like to see a bit of warmth, though...

 Thanks Ian!

Hi Char...Yes, you are probably right....that was a partial scan...here is where it is right now....will probably crop somewhere...added some warmth as you suggested...today is a dreary rainy day...not like yesterday...so observations and light are completely different...

Need to complete the distant trees...flowers...and flagstone patio...but most of the patio will probably be cropped out....that's the trouble I have with plein air...even from the inside...I get in "copy" mode and don't think enough about composition.....

Will try to finish this today....
