I decided to practice on my new Masa paper. At first I saw a canyon rock wall and went with that adding three lonely trees below. And then, I saw a face, so I outlined it...saw another face....saw another face....saw another face...and it goes on. Now as I was looking at it I can't look at it without seeing more and more faces. I see a cat, I see a baby lamb, I see a baby...these are all ones I haven't high lighted. Cue the Twilight Zone music please.

This is not being posted for critiques....as it is a HORRIBLE painting on its own without the faces. I just thought it was quite strange, and unique maybe. And....maybe I should stop drinking now, eh? LOL No, I don't drink.

I heightened the colors to show the faces more. This is not really orange. And now, I'm hesitating to post it. But, I will. Other than the faces, I think I learned a little bit about Masa. And I think I like it very much...am anxious to tackle it seriously.

Oh now, Come on Becky!! This isn't horrible at all. I like the colourful background and all the things you've seen and outlined. Looks like they're all connected to the trees in some way (with all the lines).
Very interesting paper to experiment with, I'll have to try and get a hold on some of it.

My parents had this flooring in the bathroom where i would see animals and faces, i always wondered if they were put there intentionally. The longer i looked at the floor the more of them would appear

Well thank you for not passing this off as I did. I appreciate that. LOL I hadn't made the connection of the trees and the people. Sometimes takes me more than one set of eyes to appreciate anything. At any rate, I think it has some meaning...perhaps not to me but to others.

I posted it on a New Age website forum that I go to, and they are in awe over it! See LOTS of things. Interpret it a lot of ways. Course, everything is relavent according to our own experiences, isn't it. Thanks again! :)

Oh, PS: I used to have those exact same experiences when I was a kid....seeing faces, figures in tiles, wallpaper, and the like.
