Thought I would do a "TreeCreature" as a wip so you can see the hidden images before I hide them :) . This one I did for xmas cards . There are 15 images ..bird creature..elf..seahorse..dragonfly..frog..doe..stocking..present..candycane..gingerbread man..goose..rose..peacock..holly..rufus ,of course . Santa is sleeping in the tree , not hidden .
Its an 8x10 ..a lot going on so I'm a bit worried if it will work on a 4x6 card . Does anyone know if I can do a larger card than 4x6 ?..........Thanks TerryC

Here I am front and centre..:S

Have you had a look at the card stock available? I got some 8" x 10" blank cards with envelopes from somewhere, but don't remember where sorry. They printed up great for my Chrstmas cards. This was about 3 years ago..

Hi Terry... I'm loving this already... I'll send you my address so you can add it to your Christmas list...

Did you finish Santa??? I missed him, somehow...

Staples sells 11 x 17 matte photo paper (their own brand) that is a nice weight and reasonably priced... You might consider trying that size for your cards... envelopes could be the challenge...

Thanks JJ ..so glad you're here ....I guess I can do a google for card stock :)

Thanks so much Becky and Jutta ...and fun to do ..wc makes it even funner :D

Thanks Char ...Hey , I may just do that , pm me .....easiest place to find Santa is in "Structured Critiques" here's the link ..santa (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=289479)
or the link in my signature ..I actually improved the red since these pics

Thanks for help on cards ...I'm actually thinking I want 5x7 size ..I also want some long lengths for the next one I have planned like 4x8

Char you just gave me an idea ..question for everybody ....would it be good promotion to have a "sign in address book" at this show I'm doing , for people to receive xmas cards from me ? Or , am I asking for trouble , expensive..

update........Love ya all.........TerryC

Oh... and the guestbook idea? Be prepared to send a LOT of cards... your work is so good that everyone will want one...

Terry....
This is absolutely charming! I think it will work on the smaller card...after all, on my screen it's small, and I can see all your images....or you could fold the card and have the image inside....and the outside cover like a package or something....open and ta daa! :D a special gift!..
If you get a chance...i would love to see some detail shots...the blending and painting look just super...and I have nose marks on my monitor from trying to get a closer view :D
Congratulations...and I don't know what list everyone is mentioning....but I'd love to be on it too...(unless it's for a smack in the head) :D

Hey Lauren , what a great idea ...don't be surprised if I use that .

Because it was night , I scanned this instead of photographing and it is a bit granier than actual . Here are some close ups ..TC

This will be the back of the card ..any suggestions ? I wonder if I should add its a Giclee .

http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/11-Sep-2005/64691-tree_wording-wc.jpg

notice my logo ? Its my initials T C as a palette and brushes...I have this on my checks , business cards , etc

leverettfinn

Terrific finish Terry C!
Thanks for the detail shots!

As far as the back...I think I would make your logo a bit larger...(it's cool :D) and I would make the bottom four lines smaller and add the "this image is available as a giclee print" then your contact info. I maybe would put "from the tree creature series" at the bottom in the smaller font too.

Love the font style you've chosen....fits perfectly! I think I maybe would take out the word "creature" I think "large bird" might be descriptive enough....
* boing! just had another thought :p ....you can write..."solution can be found at my website"...he he he.....bet you'll get some traffic from that! people will want to make sure they are right! :D

Congratulations!
