I am about to finally start framing some of the paintings I have done over the past couple years. I have no idea how to do the "spacers" part of it. I have already ordered custom matting and metal frames. I think I remember some time ago someone mentioned there were spacers you could buy to apply to the back of the inner mat. I may be wrong, but if anyone knows how to apply spacers, where to get them, or just any creative way to make space between the matt and the pastel painting, please let me know. I really don't want to have another mat cut for the inside, I would rather find some type of spacer that works. Any ideas?

Hi,

There are some spacers that are put like clamps on the glass, I guess, and make a space between the frame and the pastel, thus avoiding the use of a mat if one does not want one.
I can't remember where I saw them, but if you make a search with «frame spacers» or something alike, I'm sure you'll find them.
