I'm sorry, I don't know what colors are in the two sets. But here is a small picture online of the portrait set although the actual color names are not listed. I recommend requesting a color chart of the two sets from Curry's or other art supplier. Also, you can purchase either of these sets for about $2 less from Jerry's. I'd also ask if these colors are among the 48 they already sell. It might be that you'd be duplicating rather than adding to your palette.

Thank you! I just looked at that tiny picture of the portrait set, and it looks like they're all very warm flesh tones, browns, etc. I do need a color chart -- When I order some supplies I'll ask for one, if they have one -- though I'd rather have one before I ordered and get everything at once. I will go look for Jerry's right away...I hadn't heard of that art supply store. Thanks again!

Hello again. Does anyone know what colors are in the Conte landscape and portrait sets (of 12 Conte crayons each)? Buying them from an on-line source is difficult, as I haven't found any site that tells what the colors in the sets are. I have the 48-color set, but I need more colors to go with it. I have found a place, Curry's, on the web, that actually sells Conte crayons individually -- all the colors, not just the basic earth colors...and at a very good price. I wish I could see what all the colors are, but they only list their names and numbers -- I thought someone might at least be familiar with the colors in the portrait and landscape sets, and I could get those and probably be able to use them.

Thanks for your help!

Jean
