Avatar wins award

Would you believe that I decided to send my avatar that is a plein air to a show? It won an award.

This is the message I got today

Congratulations, Virginia!

It's my pleasure to advise you that your painting, "Tarpon Springs," has won the H. K. Holbein Merit Award in our Southeastern Pastel Society 2005 Members' Juried Exhibition.

Your painting is lovely and received many positive comments during our reception last night.

That's wonderful. Both the painting and the award. Had you been invited to the awards reception?

The reception was this last Sunday 28, and I was not able to attend. If I had only known that I won something I would have make the effort to drive the 7 hours to Atlanta.
